MathToday we did not finish our lesson in Math. Therefore, I didn't give any math homework.
Vocabulary Test is tomorrow- Students had time in class to complete index cards. If they didn't complete them, then they had to complete them for homework. On the front of the card, they had to write the vocab. word. On the back they had to write the definition along with an illustration (picture) of the word.
Reading- Reminder reading log is due Monday.

August 23, 2012 Today's Homework Tudors Class

Today we had two tests (math and states test). The only homework is science workbook pgs 2-7 only if they did not finish them in class. Please remind your child to bring a book to read during the day. If they finish assignments early, then they can read their book. Reminder the first book report is due Sept.26 and first 5 AR points are due September 7. Have a great day!

REMINDERS:

• End of Year Project is due Wednesday MORNING at the beginning of the day. 
• Pumpkin Patch field trip tomorrow - bring a lunch
• Promotion is on Friday - students meet in the music room at 8:30
• 5th grade DVDs are now on sale for $10.  This is a 30 minute long DVD featuring the 5th grade year plus many shots a these awesome students from Kindergarten through 4th grade.  Order slips went home today. 

May 11

We had a great field day!  The weather was perfect!  Thank you to everyone who could volunteer their time and donations to make this day a success!

Students can work on their End of the Year books at home this weekend.  We took the last 30 minutes of the day today to have some "chill" time and work on them in class.  We are so pleased with how seriously they are taking this assignment.  You would be so proud to watch their work ethic in class!  These are due Wednesday morning of next week.  This way we will have enough time to grade them and get the grades into Power School.

Students were given the opportunity to get a math extra credit assignment yesterday.  Most chose to take one.  These are due on Tuesday morning!  No exceptions.

May 9

We had a fantastic time on our trip to Nashville yesterday.  We could not have asked for better weather!  Thanks for allowing your child to venture up to the capital with us.  Hopefully it will be something they will always remember.  


Science/Social Studies:  We are still working on the End of the Year project book.  Students may bring home their science and social studies text books to work on rough drafts.  These books are due on Wednesday, May 16.  Please keep in mind that we only have TWO more class days to work on these.

REMINDERS:

• Friday is Field Day
• Pumpkin Patch Playground field trip on Tuesday
• Please send in the yellow Loftis Middle registration form if your child plans to attend that school.
